Go to Jardins d'Eyrignac
We visited this garden in May 2009 and loved it. To see the owner was a great treat. If you love a classical French garden ,perfectly manicured hedges with wonderful axis you will enjoy this garden.

(5.0/5)One cannot see the gardens until one has paid for entrance. The advertisements and brochures at the entrance show views that one cannot access. The whole point of these gardens is that they were built to be seen from above, from the house. But the house is not open to the public!
The gardens could not be enjoyed as they were advertised. For this price, if we had known that the view from above was not available we would NEVER have gone in and NEVER would have paid for this. This price was nearly the price for the Louvre Museum in Paris, and for just walking among hedges!
We complained at the entrance that the gardens were not as described but the agent -- in VERY rude French (my wife speaks it fluently as she went to grade school in Belgium) -- said too bad!
This is an outrageous place that scams its customers!

(1.0/5)There are many fantastic gardens in France, but for me this is one of the top 10. It is mainly a topiary garden with extensive grounds with numerous angles to capture the sculpted views. If you are in the area and like gardens, this is a must-see.
