Have visited the gardens each year with family and grandchildren for the past 4 years. It is top priority on our list of places to visit. Never disappointed by the beauty of the place and the views of the Dordogne and countryside.
Glad some of the paths have been levelled, in the past it was a struggle with pushchairs.
This year the children were old enough to make painted masks and enjoyed the improved play area.
They look forward to the trip back on the 'train' and we all enjoy our refreshment at the excellent and friendly restaurant.
Look forward to our next visit in 2010.

We visited on a Thursday evening but arrived too late to appreciate the view across the valley.
Our vist was very rewarding but I would encourage any visitors to arrive well before dusk as there are many excellent vistas across the valley, obviously available during the day, but these gardens are noted particularly for their after dark illuminations

This garden is a little like a whoopy whistle- it has a tendency to unravel, extending on and on along a long very high piece of ground above the Dordogne river, which hugs close to its rocky feet. The views are stunning. It is principally a green garden, but very restful especially on a hot day, as a lot is carved out of scrubby Oak forest.
This place is def. worth a visit, but wear strong shoes !
