Go to Jardin des Plantes
Big and interesting, with an alpine garden, a rockery, large perennial beds, and some quite large mature specimen trees. There are places to sit, and food is available from stands as well as a restaurant. The natural history museum is there also, and a large greenhouse which was closed every time I have visited. It was originally a medicinal garden a few hundred years ago.

(4.0/5)Beautiful and diverse, big and well taken care of. It's got a nice beautiful French garden in the monumental alley to the main building, and on the side there is also a very interesting mediterranean pre-Alps garden - there seem to be several other types of gardens aside, that unfortunately we did not have time to visit
