The garden is the work of local artist César Manrique (1919 to 1992) and is located in an old quarry. There is a restored windmill and an impressive collection of cacti gathered by botanist Estanislao González Ferrer.
Visited as part of a cruise itinerary this was the highlight of the day.
Set below the normal level of the ground this sheltered cactus garden has the most impressive display of plants, some of them are enormous and many in flower.
Facilities are excellent and the signs for the loos may make you laugh!
All together well worth a visit.
