Gardenvisit Editorial

Standing on the US/Canadian border, the Peace Garden was established in 1932 (by Dr Henry Moore) and dedicated to good relations between the two countries. Visitors must pass through international customs (with identification) to leave the garden. It concentrates on displays, particularly of native plants, and has bright displays of bedding plants (including a floral clock made up of 2,500-3,000 flowers, run by GPS and monitored 4 times per day). The only two floral designs which remain the same each year are the Canadian and American Flag Displays.

Certainly not a garden that is "on the way to" anywhere else. This destination location is known for its displays of bedded annuals. Plan to visit late in late summer when the plants have had time to mature.
