In the foothills of the Pennines, Heaton Hall is an eighteenth century house, designed by James Wyatt in 1772 in a large park. The park includes a boating lake with boat house and Western Pleasure Grounds. Heaton Park has been recently regenerated with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Manchester City Council.
