Robert Holden, in New Landscape Design (2003) wrote that 'Richard Weller and Vladimir Sitta have given a physical form to ideas of what Australia means and in doing so have composed new landscape forms'. They are 'two of the most intriguing and intellectually challenging landscape designers working today'. The Rough Guide to Australia (2001 edn p 251) comments that 'the bleak symbolism of an arid, treeless country is presented in the concrete Garden of Australian Dreams'.
