Really a breath-taking, awe-inspiring place. I recommend using the electronic explanation of each structure, a phone you obtain when purchasing your ticket. It can easily be carried. As expected, the grounds are very uneven so wear comfortable shoes. Lots of narrow and fairly steep steps. Ideally, it takes days to really soak each item into your psyche, not just a few hours.

It is not the most beautiful place I have been but it is an extraordinary experience to see the actual garden courtyards where Roman orgies MIGHT have taken place.
