Durban Botanic Gardens

The Durban Botanic Gardens (DBG) was founded in 1849 for testing potentially useful crops. It later became a botanic garden with collections of sub-tropical trees, palms and orchids. It has a lake with water lilies and pink lotus, an Orchid house and a collection of cycads.

Opening times - All year. Daily. Open 7:30am to 5:45pm (5:15pm in Winter).
