Reviews of Doddington Place Gardens

The recently renovated Edwardian rock garden is ambitious, with Picturesque sunken path a la Aysgarth, pools and a cascade over Kentish ragstone. New head gardener from Scotney Castle sparks ideas well with the Oldfields who are full of plans themselves. Magnificent views, especially into the wood and along the billowing yew walk from the romantic folly (called 'a little bit of Hampton Court' by Roy Strong).
