The Dendrological Garden (from the Greek "dendros" meaning "tree" and "logos" meaning "study of") is famous for its rhododendrons and azaleas and holds a collection of around 5000 woody plants and perennials. It was founded in 1974 and has been open to the public since 1991.

Opening times - April to October. Tuesday to Sunday. Open 9am to 6pm (last entry 5pm).
