Rococco house of 1743 by Francois R. de Cuvilliés. It is a formal rococco garden with pictureque landscape garden from the late C18th or early C19th which has retained the formal axis of avenue trees.
Built as a summer residence for the Landgrave of Hessen-Kassel and situated 10 kilometers north of Kassel, Wilhelmstal is a haven of tranquility. Long vistas, a grotto and canal decorated with golden cherubs. Beautiful.
