Croft Acre is a one acre garden that was formerly an orchard and has been developed over the last 20 years.
1-acre garden that has evolved over the last 22 years. Many interesting features, shrubs, plants and trees. Water features, summerhouse and vegetable garden. Much seating for quiet contemplation.
Developed from an old Orchard, we inherited much grass, conifers and a handful of very old fruit trees.
In May - Davidia Involucrata, the handkerchief tree. Now producing a multitude of "hankies"!

Always a warm welcome - we have been going every year for the past 3 years and wouldn't miss it for the world!
We love the variety - hostas in pots, 2 different ponds, fragrant roses, the well organised and stocked compost & vegetable gardens, the window into next doors field and lots more.
The garden is divided up into different parts and our 3 year old loves discovering new bits!

(5.0/5)An exquisite garden full of delights and surprises. An informal wildlife area, stream and pool, a rose arbour with pool and copper tree fountain and a productive and pretty potager among many other features. The planting is wide ranging and with some unusual finds, with a spectacular Davidia involucrata (pocket handkerchief tree). All set in an acre of grounds in a charming village. Home made teas as they should be…in china cups in gazebos redolent of a wedding reception! A hidden gem.
