Gardenvisit Editorial

The House of Cantaber has one of the best examples of a Roman courtyard garden outside Italy. The peristyle court has pools, curving beds, and jets of water. [Note: The name Conimbriga, or Coimbra, is of Germanic origin and is pronounced 'queem-boro' in Portugese].
Address - Museu Monografico de Conimbriga, 3750 Condeixa-a-Nova, Portugal

I've never seen a better Roman garden - the water brings it to life.
