This is a private villa. The castle was used to protect the boundary between Siena and Florence centuries ago. It is owned by an ancient Italian family and the groundskeeper and his wife maintain the premises. The groundskeeper will show you his callouses from trimming that long famous hedge. The garden has several lemon trees that are 100s of years old and each winter they carry the pots and place them in the lemonia. Finding this place is difficult because it is in the middle of nowhere.
