An Elizabethan Hall (by Robert Smithson) with a twentieth century garden. The house is surrounded by lawns and clipped yews. In 1990, the walled kitchen garden was laid out with a maze, colour theme gardens, herbaceous borders and a 'jungle garden' of bamboos and exotics.

Here is a glorious combination, House, Old Hall and church in perfect harmony. The house is well worth visiting with its mix of old and modern art.
The garden is a little cracker. Lawns with lily ponds, a wooded walk with sculptures and a lovely walled garden. The later containing roses and "rooms" where you can play chess, draughts and snakes and ladders.
