A couple of months ago I went to the gardens and it was in a poor state. I was pleasantly surprised when I went for another visit today! It seems that things are picking up for the gardens again. The sub-tropical garden looked stunning with all the large colourful leaves and flowers. Also the 'Italian' and the 'Heaven and Hell' gardens were completely rejuvenated. There are still some weeds here and there but you can see the garden team is working hard to catch up after apparently being understaffed for quite a long time due to cuts. Definately worth a visit again, especially considering that there is no entrance fee!

its amazing to think that this garden is right next to Hadlow College yet it still seems to be in a state of decline. As a regular vistor it was sad to see some of the better parts of the garden replaced with badly designed water features and steel planters. Perhaps they should seek new gardeners/designers at the college next door, as the overall appearence and general state of basics like weeding is poor.
