Go to Boughton House Garden
John Anthony (1979), The Gardens of Britain records Van der Meulen arriving in the spring of 1685 'By a Kettering coach on Saturday will come down a new gardener, you must appoint him a Chamber....'. Van der Meulen, a Dutchman, had previous experience of drainage works in the Fens.

(3.0/5)I agree this is a truly amazing "parkland" an interesting mix of very modern design along with the ongoing restoration work.

(5.0/5)It is exciting to see some tremendous restoration work being applied to this awesome place. It is being done well.
The new 'Orpheus' creation is imaginative and effective..it works .and is a good balance to the mound near by.
I was increasingly impressed with the place as one viewed all that is being done. Full marks Duke of Buccleuch for investing in such fantastic works!
