Gardenvisit Editorial

The monastery of the Basilica of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce) in Rome has a restored garden designed by the Italian landscape architect  Paolo Pejrone. It has a circular design based on that of the Roman amphitheatre which was once on this site, with a centrally placed tufa fountain. The planting is primarily of herbs to make medical garden (garden of simples).
