The owners obviously love and cherish Barewood Gardens. There are lots of places to sit awhile beneath the shade of a tree. Strolling the grounds one feels any second a gnome may peek out from behind a toadstool and invite us to tea and scones. There is an original cob cottage all white and whimsical and well over one-hundred-years-old that serves as a gift shop where one may become quite unsure as to what to bring home as there are many delightful items all with unique properties.
We enjoyed a buffet lunch with baked salmon with fresh dill...absolutely the best I've had, honestly saying so. The salad ingredients were fresh from the organic gardens. There is a special Afternoon Tea service but this is very popular and so you'll have to arrange for a time. There are many places to have tea and stroll a garden but when your hosts really care about your experience...then it's a special place and a special experience.

(5.0/5)This is a great garden and well worth the visit. In January 2008 my family stopped in for a visit and we just loved it, spent a relaxing 2 hours exploring the garden and of course peppering our hosts with questions. Highly recommended!
