Gardenvisit Editorial

The terraced gardens are on Mt. Carmel, overlooking Haifa Bay. The steps and terraces run down the hill from golden dome of the Shrine of the Bab. The shrine was built in 1953 to mark the tomb of of Siyyad Ali Muhammed – the Bab. He was born a Muslim, in Persia, and founded the Baihai faith (which is persecuted in modern Iran).
Address - Mount Carmel, Haifa, Israel
