John James Audubon the famous ornithologist, is believed to have done many of his drawings of Florida birds in Audubon House garden. It was built in 1820 by Captain John Huling Geiger, a harbor pilot and master wrecker. The gardens have brick paths, orchids bromeliads, native plants and herbs.

Definitely the best garden in Key West! A charming 1-acre plot filled with tropical plants. The museum is interesting too and has many of Audubon's originals.
