Attadale Gardens are in a beautiful position on the shores of Loch Carron with a huge selection of trees planted over many years. There are wonderful views over Loch Carron right out to the Isle of Skye. The rhododendrons are amazing, in bloom through May and June – some must be over a hundred years old. The water gardens which stretch the length of the drive offer very pretty views of colourful natural planting reflecting in the water, with mountains as a backdrop. There is also a Japanese garden, a Victorian sunken garden, a kitchen garden as well as a major fern collection housed in a geodesic dome. There is a lot to see and it is very carefully kept. Sculpture is also scattered through the gardens which can provide entertainment for any children you may have in tow. There is an amusing do it yourself café where you can make your own tea or coffee while studying a photographic history of the gardens.
