Formerly known as the Giardino Hruska Botanico, the Andre Heller Botanic Garden was made by a dentist and naturalist after 1901. It has a mild climate and an extensive plant collection. The garden now belongs to a foundation established by the Austrian artist Andre Heller.

    The best garden I have visited so far! The garden is located in the town center of the small hamlet of Gardone Riviera, on the beautiful and all year round warm shores of lake garda, which is a pearl of Italian beauty and cozyness itself. Andre' Heller took the already valuable original botanical garden and transformed it into a gem where nature meets modern and ethnic art. The result is simply astonishing, unlike anything else this garden presents a surprise around every corner, a bewilderment of all senses that brings you in a dreamlike environment where everything can happen, and fantasy is a touch away. If fairies ever exist, they would certainly dwell here.
