Korakuen Garden Okayama 2

Previous - Next

In another part of the garden may be observed some majestic pine trees forming a picturesque clump on a level expanse of beaten earth, and, close by, some enormous granite boulders measuring over twenty feet in length, which have been transported in sections and afterwards fitted together with lime and clay, the joints being partly hidden by moss and lichen. A small shrine with accompanying torii and fine stone standard-lanterns embellish another part of the grounds.
