832. The ornamental plants of the Cape are well known ; among them may be reckoned almost all our heaths, diosmas, pelargoniums, a profusion of genera belonging to the families of Irideﾵ and Amaryllideﾵ, the splendid Strelitzia, Mesembryanthemum, A'loe, Gnaphalium, Protea, and many other genera.
