442. The Swedish Horticultural Society was established in the autumn of 1832. The situation of the garden is in the middle of Queen Street, the largest and most beautiful street in Stockholm. The garden is 2000 feet long, and from 400 feet to 500 feet wide, occupying a fourth part of the land from the street to the banks of a small lake.
