Grafting knife

1735. The grafting-knife (fig. 364.) differs from the common pruning-knife, in having a thinner and more narrow blade fixed in a bone or horn handle. It is used for grafting, inarching, &c. The French use an instrument (fig. 362.) having an angle (a) in the opening of the blade, for scooping out the wood of the stock.
