On the other End are some texts from the Burial Service. [Editor's Note: J C Loudon died in 1843. He was in bad health in 1842 and this may have contributed to the interest in the design and layout of cemeteries which was a feature of the last years of his life. He often remarked that burial grounds needed to be enlarged or better kept or planted with trees.
