North Europeans and Non Europeans are significant purchasers of garden property in South Europe, because prices are lower and the climate is well suited to outdoor living. Yet popularity of gardening as a leisure activity is greater in the north.

Historically, East Europe has been a troubled area but the area has stabilized and is now developing rapidly. The climate is well suited to garden making and property prices are even lower than in South Europe.
