London Walking Network

A newtork of long-distance walkways is being created by the London Walking Forum. It is a development of Abercrombie's 1943-4 Open Space plan. The network uses existing and proposes a wide-ranging network of orbital and radial routes. This proposal, and the routeways, was first proposed in Tom Turner's 1992 report, Towards a Green Strategy for London (London Planning Advisory Committee, 1992). The network map is kept up to date by the London Walking Forum, with maps available from the Lea Valley Regional Park Authority.Telephone 01992 893345
