Misting equipment - review

Landscape and Garden Product Directory

Artificial misting equipment made its first garden appearance in mist propagators. It was found that cuttings do remarkably well when bottom warmth is combined with top cooling and moisturisation. This technique was then extended to use in special glasshouses for propagation. Since then, two other uses for misting equipment have been found:

to cool large volumes of air in outdoor space (this effect is a consequence of the latent heat required for the process of evaporation)

  • for decorative effect (combined with the benefits of mist irrigation and air cooling)

As film directors, professional photographers, and disco promoters have long known: mist has a mystrious, romantic and dreamy quality.
