Great to see Chelsea back to its spring pre-Covid normal - and to see some gardens (including Joe Perkins' META Garden) which was ready for the show when it was cancelled in 2020. It was worth the wait! Making more use of social media this year, the format for the Gardenvisit.com Chelsea reviews makes use of YouTube and Twitter. Sarah Eberle interviewed by Tom Turner about her design for the MEDITE SMARTPLY Building the Future Garden at the 2022 Chelsea Flower Show. She won a Gold Medal for a brilliant use of MDF to create a waterfall garden.

I’ve never seen anyone make as good use of the Main Avenue corner site at Chelsea as Sarah Eberle’s Medite Smartply garden does. Most designers wall it off, forgetting that waterfalls flourish in woodland. #RHSChelseaFlowerShow 2022 pic.twitter.com/gvOQAJGxSk

You’d need a lot of soil or a lot of water to maintain a wild flower meadow on a green roof. So make it available! Blue Peter Garden by Juliet Sargeant at #RHSChelseaFlowerShow 2022 @julietsargeant pic.twitter.com/WpSzYjDNTY

For 10+ years the #RHSChelseaFlowerShow has been the best place in Britain to see innovative ideas for green roofs on garden buildings. One day, perhaps, the garden centres will catch up. Connected by Exante design Taina Suonio @EXANTE_EU pic.twitter.com/wxyUzZFGdD

It’s lovely. But: "What pretends to be an image of nature is nothing more nor less than nature herself. The means of the art are reality." This is not wild! It is the Best-in-Show award-winning RHS Rewilding Garden at #RHSChelseaFlowerShow 2022 pic.twitter.com/Drm2fCM1aj

Definitely ‘Romantic’. Nice looking too. Great politics. Great technical achievement. Great garden design? Uvedale Price + John Ruskin would have approved. RHS Rewilding Britain Landscape Garden.
