The Laban Centre in Deptford, London, was designed by the Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron and won the Stirling Prize for Architecture in 2003. The sculptured landforms create a sense of place and work well with the mirror glass. Children love running amok on the grass.<\/p>\n<p>The pity of the scheme is that it is not integrated with the intriguing landscape of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gardenvisit.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/23\/deptford-creek-london-landscape-archaeology\/\">Deptford Creek<\/a>.\u00a0 It lurks behind steel fencing, like a business park.
