Chipping Campden is a ‘garden town’ in the Cotswolds<\/p><\/div>\n

Chipping Campden is a small market town in the Cotswolds, described as ‘the most beautiful village street now left on the island’ (G.M. Trevelyan English social history<\/em>, 1944). The Cotswolds is an area of gently rolling hills famous for its sleepy villages, fine gardens and concentrated ‘Englishness’.\u00a0The June tour from Cotswold Walks<\/a> starts with 3 days visiting its\u00a0private gardens. They are open (for charity) only for a\u00a0week in June. After that the guests move to another Cotswold town (Barnsley, Bibury or Cirencester) for visits to other gardens, including:<\/p>\n

Hidcote Manor<\/a> \u00a0was designed and created by an American, Major Lawrence Johnston and examplifies the Arts and Crafts style of garden design<\/a> with well-designed\u00a0\u00a0garden rooms and linking spaces.<\/p>\n

Rockcliffe garden<\/a> was designed\u00a0by its\u00a0owner, Emma Keswick and her taste shines through the the design.<\/p>\n

Temple Guiting Manor<\/a>\u00a0garden was designed by a well-known designer at the Chelsea Flower Show, Jinny Blom<\/p>\n

Barnsley House<\/a>\u00a0Garden was owned and designed by Rosemary Verey<\/p>\n

Highgrove<\/a>\u00a0is the country home of\u00a0HRH Prince of Wales. He has had a remarkable success as owner, patron, designer and part-time gardener.<\/p>\n

Asthall Manor garden is owned and\u00a0designed by\u00a0Julian and Isabel Bannerman<\/a>, who also help Prince Charles with the design of Highgrove.<\/p>\n
