About the Garden Visit and Travel Guide  

The Gardenvisit.com Guide was first published in the autumn of 1998. It delivered approx 400,000 page views in 1999 and 1.1m in  2000. The content is edited by Tom Turner, author of English garden design history and styles since 1650 (1986) which formed the starting point for the GVTG website. We are most grateful to publishers of Creative Commons material, including images. Our policies concerning this material are (1) to credit the copyright owner, and provide a link where possible  (2) to remove Creative Commons material, at once, if the copyright owner so requests - for example if the owner changes the licensing of an image.
