National, Gallery and Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland

The Royal Scottish Academy was designed by William Henry Playfair (1789-1857) and is used for art exhibitions. The National Gallery of Scotland, also designed by Playfair, to the south, houses a collection of old masters.
