Directions FROM THE M27: Exit motorway at Junction 1 and follow signs towards Fordingbridge and Downton. After some miles through the forest, pass The Green Dragon and The Bell pubs, and where the road divides keep straight ahead on the Roger Penny Way towards Fordingbridge. Continue for some miles through woods, across heath, until you come to a Y junction. Take right hand fork towards Downton. Stay on that road through Woodfalls. Pass The Woodfalls Inn on your right, later some takeaway restaurants on your left. Continue up and down the hill to Downton. You will come to some traffic lights - after the lights take the second turning on the right - Barford Lane. We are the first thatched house on the left hand side - Pops Cottage. FROM SALISBURY: Take the A338 South towards Ringwood and the coast. Some six miles out of Salisbury you will enter Downton and come to a little roundabout – go straight on. Turn left at traffic lights at the Bull Hotel. Continue through village for about a mile. Pass the Kings Arms pub on your left, then the Wooden Spoon pub on the same side. Take the first left after the Wooden Spoon into Barford Lane. We are the first thatched cottage on the left hand side. FROM RINGWOOD: Take the A338 towards Salisbury. Pass Fordingbridge, continue about 6 miles to Downton. Pass Trafalgar School on right, at the traffic lights turn right. Continue through village for about a mile, pass the Kings Arms pub on your left, then the Wooden Spoon on the same side. Take first left after the Wooden Spoon into Barford Lane. We are the first thatched cottage on the left hand side.
