The dock space enclosed by a former warehouse was roofed to make an indoor shopping arcade, open to the River Thames at one end. Loss of the old dock basin is regrettable. Hays Galleria has shops, offices and restaurants but gives the impression that it could be more successful if it had more traffic. For this, it should have a stronger link with London Bridge Station, in the form of a glazed walkway between the buildings. It should be extended to the elevator to the station. The north wall of the glazed corridor could be used as exhibition space, or perhaps as shopping or cafe space.
