Scone Palace in Perthshire 

‘Overall, a ‘Three ‘P’s’ approach should be adopted. The Scone estate should be Productive, Picturesque and Profitable.' The Mansfields agreed and asked Mr Loudon go ahead and produce what Humphry Repton called a ‘Red Book.' The estate survives in good condition. Loudon’s design report is missing but may still exist. Four of Loudon’s plans for the estate survive. One of them was drawn from memory c1812, presumably because Loudon did not have copies of the originals. The other three survive at Scone Palace and are on display from time to time.
