Swinton Park

Swinton Park is a castle hotel set in 200 acres of gardens, parkland with a chain of five lakes and a herd of fallow deer. Swinton Park is the ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family and the 4 acre walled garden was recently restored by Susan Cunliffe-Lister (Country Life Gardener of the Year 2001). Gardens to visit while staying at Swinton Park include Studley Royal (9 miles), Duncombe Park (30 miles), Rievaulx Terrace and Temples (32 miles) and Harlow Carr (25 miles).
