Reviews of Penmaenuchaf Hall Hotel

According to Cadw, Penmaenuchaf was owned by Charles Reynolds Williams until it was acquired by Thomas Taylor, a mill owner from Bolton. Thomas's son John Leigh Taylor was residing at Penmaenuchaf by 1873 when the hall was known as The Cliffe.

Cadw's research indicates that by this time Williams had already completed much of the re-design and landscaping of the formal gardens around the hall which had also been enlarged. There are similarities, between Penmaenuchaf and Dolmelynllyn near Ganllwyd which Williams was also involved with. Visitors to Penmaenuchaf Hall should go accompanied with a copy of the Cadw report which provides a detailed guide to grounds.
