Herb gardenss

Growing herbs in gardens is an ancient practice. There are records of herb gardens in Ancient Egypt, India and Rome:

• herbs for medicinal use (see medicinal gardens - garden of simples)
• herbs for cooking
• herbs for decoration

In ancient gardens, medicinal and culinary uses were primary. In modern gardens, culinary and decorative uses are primary. But there are still some medicinal uses which deserve consideration, including the use of herbs for the treatment of acne.
