Roof gardens

Vegetated roofs have so many advantages, their use must be expected to increase exponentially. The advantages are:

• roof gardens and vegetated roofs provide thermal insulation
• roof gardens and vegetated roofs provide noise insulation
• roof gardens and vegetated roofs provide wild-life habitats
• roof gardens and vegetated roofs provide rainwater detention
• roof gardens and vegetated roofs provide living space which is: apart from street noise and open to the sun

Hydroponic techniques are well suited to roof gardens.
