William Paca Garden

Gardenvisit Editorial

William Paca was a signatory to the Declaration of Independence and his garden dates from that time. No documentary records of the original layout survived but, after archaeological and documentary research, a re-created garden was made in the 1970s. The architectural features of the old garden were re-made from illustrations in paintings. They include a summerhouse and a Chinese Chippendale Bridge.
