The Villa Carlotta is indeed utterly stunning in april when the azaleas are in bloom but it is so well structured that it is a joy to visit any time of year. I've been a dozen times over the last 40 years at different seasons and it never fails to delight

The house and the front staircase and waterpiece are stunning. The rest of the garden must be especially pretty in Spring when azalea bloom. The view on the lake and Bellagio and the whole atmosphere is magic.
