Jardins de Valloires

The abbey garden, designed by Gilles Clement, has a long axis and a cloister formed with plants. The former vegetable garden now contains a botanical collection of 5000 species and varieties. There is also a rose garden with hundreds of old varieties. The Abbey was built during the eighteenth century. The old garden has disappaered and was completely recreated in 1987. The gardens consist of 8 hectares of formal, water, wild, botanic gardens. The new Evolution Garden was created in 2004 with the same landscaper.
