Reviews of Trebah Garden

This is one of the most beautiful gardens in the UK.Original created by the Fox Family of Falmouth who were Quakers and involved in Shipping in nearby Falmouth. Many plants arrived back in Flamouth aboard their ships, Many exotic species thrive in the mild cornish climate.Set in a deep wooded valley bordering a stream that drops away to the Helford river. There are magnificent tree ferns Dicksonia antarctica, Acasia pravissima and A delbata. Proteas,Agaves to name a few. At the bottom of the garden is a beach bordering the Helford Estuary. The neighbouring garden at Glendurgan is also worth visiting. and Penjerrick although the latter is now overgrown.
In the summer season it is also worth taking the ferry boat from this garden to the village of Helford.

One of my favourite Cornish gardens ! Lots of glorious and interesting plants, amazing vistas peaking through the valley and exotic trees from the lawns. Well maintained and a good spot for post-garden perambulation refreshments.
