I agree - Iford Manor is a much nicer place than Peto's parents' house (Somerleyton Hall). He had a wonderful site, excellent taste and unrepeatable opportunities to collect ornaments etc in Italy.

    Totally sublime !

Even though it was tipping with rain the place oozed gracious elegance. A fine balance of space and plantings.
Plenty of interesting plants, sight lines, etc. This garden is superb !
I would love to see all the Wisterias in full show !
Mr HP is a genius !!

Oh what a beautiful garden this is! You wonder where you are going as you wind down the hill into the valley and suddenly you see Iford Manor ahead of you. This is a garden that shouldn't be missed - every corner you turn gives you another wonderful vista - it's like being on a stage set, but without the players.

This garden is for true romantics! A bit of Italy in the UK - peaceful and tranquil with interesting planting and delightful garden buildings.
