Temple Square Gardens

  • Parties / Large Groups

    www.templesquarehospitality.com They schedule commerical busloads of people for a meal at the Lion House after a short garden tour and then will also allow them to listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir practice on Thursday evenings--if they'd like to do it all together.

  • Parking

    Public parking is a little bit limited during downtown reconstruction. Talk to the hospitality people at the above website.

  • Disabled Access

    Yes. There are elevators and access through most of the gardens.

  • Shopping

    There is a shop at the Church Museum. Nothing for the gardens.

  • Restaurant

    Yes. See above website for restaurant information.

  • Picnic Area

    There are parks to the east of the plaza.

  • Special Events

    Garden Talks In The Park are held on Wednesday evenings during June, July, and August. Expert horticulturalists give complimentary one-hour garden talks. The talks begin at 8 p.m. in June and July and at 7:30 p.m. in August. No tickets are required. All ages welcome.   • Walks

    The Convention Bureau has ipod self guided walks around town and there are lots of hikes in the mountains around the city.

  • Accomodation on Premisies

    There are hotels all over the city, but call ahead in case of conventions being held.

  • Family/Baby changing facilities

    The restrooms are clean and family friendly on the plaza and square.
